Topic #1- Posting to GHIN
The DRGA Handicap Committee will post your DRGA tournament rounds to the USGA/GHIN system database after every tournament.
Topic #2 - Design Change
We have added a lower case "a" to all New Members scoring record that is used as the source for computing an initial handicap. (Ex: 72a* or 80a) The "a" indicates that the score is a temporary "Away Score" entry. They will be removed as one competes in DRGA events and will be totally removed after completing 6 rounds.
Topic #3 - Last Score
The last score in a New Members scoring record is always an "Away Score". That score will drop off your scoring record once you have played 6 qualifying rounds in the DRGA. We have colored it "LIGHT TAN" for ease if identification.
Topic #4 - 71a*
If you have a 71a* after your 1st round score. It means you have NOT submitted "Away Scores" for handicap purposes.
Topic #5 - 5% Rule
The "5% Rule" limits the lowest NET score a New Member can post for the first 6 rounds in the DRGA. In team competition, the lowest score a team may have is 64 when only one score is used for the round, ie. Best Ball, Scramble.
5% Rule = Course Rating - 5% = 72.0-3.8 = 68.2 Rounded to 68.0
